A few steps to know about when registering for the Marching Band. Please make sure you sign up on the Gold Form to allow the band office to complete their database and information to contact you for upcoming events and rehearsals. ASU students will need to sign up for the class and community members will need to make sure they pay the Community Member Fee.

Course Sign up
The Marching Band course to sign up is currently an upper level class MUP 461. Because of the upper level course it is required that you will need to get an override to be in the course unless you have 45 credit hours or more. The Band Office can assist each student in the process to ensure you are enrolled in Marching Band.
Community Members
Some individuals may be interested in participating in the Sun Devil Marching band; yet are not considered full-time, degree seeking students at ASU. The ASU Marching Band has a community member program that will allow you to participate through a few steps as you see below. Requirements
To be considered a Marching Band Community Member you must follow the guidelines below:
- Register through the Band Office on the Gold Form
- Register and pay the Community Member fee. (link available in May)
- Sign all Indemnity and Model Release forms
- Attend mandatory periodic SDA training in order to participate in the SDMB
- Participate in all camp, rehearsals, performances, etc. as per the Fall ’22 calendar
Fee/Registration (COMMUNITY COLLEGE MEMBERS ONLY)
Each member will be required to pay the fee of $350.00 in order to participate in the Sun Devil Marching Band. You can pay this fee only online through the eTouches system. Link HERE.
