Spirit Squad

The ASU Spirit Squad, which includes the Spirit Squad - Dance Team and Spirit Squad - Cheer, is part of the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band. It is a prestigious organization created to promote school spirit and interest in college activities, and perform and support athletic programs. Members have the opportunity to sharpen dance technique, develop positive personal character, and provide quality, family entertainment for large audiences.

To be a part of the Spirit Squad (Dance Team or Cheer), you must fill out an application separate from the Gold Form (ASU Sun Devil Marching Band application). You must also audition the spring prior to performing. Each candidate will fill out the Application after you have reviewed the Spirit Squad-Dance and Spirit Squad-Cheer Tryout Packets. Print Model Release/Indemnity Form to sign and submit in the application. This information will be updated around January.

Application/Forms

Gold Form

The Gold Form is the official application for the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band Band Office. All members, regardless of section, must complete this form by the date indicated to be considered for the marching season. 

 

Community Fee/Registration

Members who are not ASU students but would like to participate in the program and attend a community college are considered community members. Each member will be required to pay the fee of $350.00 in order to participate in the Sun Devil Marching Band.  You can pay this fee only online through the our automatied system.  Link will be made available in May. 

*once you fill out the form you will be contacted by the leadership chosen in May to answer any questions you might have as well as be your guide to getting ready for the season.  Leadership will distribute the music for placement auditions.
